SFEE believes that the Greek distribution network constitutes an inseparable part of the integrated effort for the promotion of public health. We actively and substantively support the flawless operation of the comprehensive and excellent Greek distribution network that ensures the direct access of all citizens, from wherever they reside in Greece, to all medicines.

The pharmacy is the principle point of contact between the citizen and the health care system. The social, scientific, and advisory role of the pharmacist is of exceptional importance in the protection of public health and it must be preserved and supported. SFEE supports initiatives to reinforce the distribution system and safeguard the availability of medicines in the Greek market.

Furthermore, SFEE believes that the State must undertake further initiatives to develop a strong framework of rules and create an environment which will be conductive to the local production of medicines, research, and investment. It is widely acknowledged that increasing local production will contribute in a positive way to increased employment and the development of the domestic economy in general, by creating new jobs and opportunities.
