SFEE believes that the Code of Practice must be strictly implemented during all stages of medicine distribution and promotion.
By means of coordinated actions, consistent promotion, and the wide publicising of SFEE’s Code of Ethics throughout the country, we have accomplished the reinforcement of the credibility of pharmaceutical enterprises to a far greater extent.
SFEE’s Code of Practice creates a secure framework for the provision of accurate, reliable and objective information on medicines and new developments in research and technology. Physicians must be objectively informed in order to make correct decisions. Furthermore, the Code of Practice constitutes an initiative of exceptional importance that contributes decisively to the establishment of trust between citizens and health professionals, to the recognition of the credibility of the pharmaceutical industry, and to the appreciation of the effectiveness of medicines and consequently, the enhancement of public health.
SFEE’s efforts related to the adherence to the Code of Practice were particularly reinforced through the establishment and adoption of the new Code of Practice regarding the relationships between the pharmaceutical industry and patient organisations, whose aim is transparency and the provision of objective information to patients.
It is an indisputable fact that an ethical identity constitutes the most powerful and invaluable asset for a particular sector. By placing a strong emphasis on Practice, we aspire to bring our sector to the pinnacle of all sectors that enjoy the respect and trust of Greek society.
