Our Mission: Improving the Lives of People Living with Cardiovascular Diseases
In this context, the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) established the CVD Platform, an initiative that brings together key stakeholders with the shared goal of improving cardiovascular health in Greece.
The Platform aims to highlight the importance of early detection, accurate diagnosis and secondary prevention, as well as the value of investing in cardiovascular health to improve patients’ quality of life and support the sustainability of the healthcare system.
Early detection and regular monitoring of cardiovascular health are essential for the effective prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases. The importance of adopting a life-course approach to cardiovascular health is also illustrated in the following EFPIA infographic.

Through stakeholder collaboration and the use of scientific evidence, the Platform seeks to contribute to the development of evidence-based policy recommendations and effective interventions that strengthen early detection, accurate diagnosis, secondary prevention and the comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases in Greece.
This initiative is part of a broader European effort to address cardiovascular diseases. Europe can and must reduce the premature deaths and disabilities associated with these conditions. The European Cardiovascular Health Plan provides an important framework for strengthening prevention, early detection and more effective disease management, making the transition from policy planning to concrete action more critical than ever.
