Athens, 22 April 2024<\/strong> \u2013 The first meeting of the new Board of Directors of SFEE was held today, and the new BoD was constituted into body as follows:<\/p>\n

As President<\/strong> Mr. Olympios Papadimitriou, General Manager of Novo Nordisk Hellas, was elected.<\/p>\n

Mr. Konstantinos Panagoulias<\/strong>, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIANEX and General Manager of VIAN, was elected Deputy President<\/strong> and Vice President<\/strong> responsible for Financial Affairs, Development, Hospitals, Labor Affairs and Pricing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The following were elected Vice-Presidents<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Elena Chouliara<\/strong>, responsible for Reimbursement, HTA, Negotiation and Pharmaceutical Expenditure (President and CEO of AstraZeneca) and Alternate<\/strong> Spyros Filiotis<\/strong> (Vice President and General Manager of Pharmaserve-Lilly),<\/li>\n
  2. Dimitris Anagnostakis<\/strong>, responsible for Scientific Affairs and Clinical Studies<\/strong> (President and CEO of Boehringer Ingelheim Greece & Cyprus) and Alternate<\/strong> Agata Jakoncic<\/strong> (President of MSD Greece, Cyprus and Malta).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Mr. Konstantinos Papagiannis<\/strong> (President and CEO of Novartis Hellas) was elected Secretary General<\/strong> and responsible for Data Monitoring issues.<\/p>\n

    Mr. Christos Sotiriou<\/strong> (Vice President and CEO of Win Medica) was elected Treasurer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Members<\/strong> of the Board of Directors are:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Panagiotis Giannouleas<\/strong> (Chief Operating Officer & Country Manager of Lavipharm Group),<\/li>\n
    2. Kyriakos Berberian<\/strong> (General Manager of Genesis Pharma Greece, Cyprus & Malta),<\/li>\n
    3. Cornelia Zanetti<\/strong> (General Manager of Takeda Greece, Cyprus & Malta).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      It is noted that the responsibility of the Communication<\/strong> and Public Affairs<\/strong> Committees<\/strong> remains with the President<\/strong>, while the responsibility of the Ethics and Transparency Committee<\/strong>, as well as the responsibility for communication with EFPIA<\/strong>, will continue to lie with the Director General<\/strong> of SFEE, Mr. Michael Himonas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      The new Board of Directors of SFEE focuses on four key priorities and will develop corresponding strategic actions and policies:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Boost funding and tackle excessive returns \u2013 Allocate resources more efficiently through digital tools and controls.<\/li>\n
      2. Patient access to innovative treatments.<\/li>\n
      3. Strengthening the pharmaceutical industry’s footprint in the national economy, through investments in production, research and development, collaborations between Greek and International companies and provision of services.<\/li>\n
      4. Revision of European Pharmaceutical Legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The new President of SFEE, Mr. Olympios Papadimitriou, noted: “The new Board of Directors, renewed, continues the previous one’s effort to address significant challenges. The difference is that the time frame for creating a sustainable, predictable environment for the pharmaceutical industry has become unbearably short. The best way to address these challenges is for a united SFEE to work towards a unified and strong voice in the health sector, and to be an important partner of the State in health policy-making. Cooperation between government and industry is essential to achieve sustainable solutions that will serve the needs of society and the economy<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
