Statement regarding the Opinion of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority on the obligation of pharmaceutical companies to disclose all transfers of value to HCPs
Αthens, 24 April 2017 – Transparency and personal data protection in Healthcare are not incompatible goals. On the contrary, the promotion of both goals safeguards the public interest, shields the proper functioning of the market, protects the interests of patients and fosters a high level of security and justice to citizens//instills a sense of security and justice among citizens.
The Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) has consistently supported the application of transparency rules and expects the State to take all necessary actions to ensure the effective implementation of the relevant legislation.
